Description
There are a number of embroideries with patterns similar to this one. They all come from the same area in Skåne, mostly from Gärd and a few from Frosta. The original is embroidered on black fabric. White is unusual, but can be found in a few embroideries from Frosta, which is where this one comes from. This jynne is marked ANO 1812. The original can be found on a colorized plate in the Hemslöjden i Skåne archive.
Embroidered using one-sided satin stitch, long and short stitch, stem stitch, and French knots.
The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle. Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Yarn for the tassels is not included, we suggest you use leftover yarn or order separately from us.
