Description
This jynne was embroidered in 1785 by Hella Månsdotter to celebrate the birth of her youngest son, Ola Nilsson. They lived in Habo, Bara. The original is in the Hemslöjden i Skåne archive and is marked ANO 1785 ONS IBHO. The fabric is red.
Embroidered using split stitch, one-sided satin stitch, stem stitch, buttonhole stitch, and couching.
The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle. Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Fabric for the tassels is not included, we suggest you reuse old textiles or order small remnants of broadcloth and wadmal from us.
