Description
Åkdyna from the early 19th century, marked PID. The cushion belongs to a large group of cushions from Vemmenhög with similar motifs. They have cog-wheel wreaths with varied motifs in the middle: roosters, lions, or different flowers. The original can be found at Svaneholm Castle. Embroidered using one-sided satin stitch, stem stitch, French knots, latticework, and long-and-short stitch.
The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle.
Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Fabric for the tassels is not included, we suggest you reuse old textiles or order small remnants of broadcloth and wadmal from us.
