Description
The original embroidery probably comes from Torna, and it is embroidered on a wool damask that was previously a scarf. There is a picture of a very similar embroidery that is marked END 1846 in the Hemslöjden i Skåne archive.
Embroidered on dark brown fabric using one-sided satin stitch, stem stitch, chain stitch, herringbone stitch, French knots, and latticework.
The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle.
Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Fabric for the tassels is not included, we suggest you reuse old textiles or order small remnants of broadcloth and wadmal from us.
