The original embroidery is in the collections at the Nordic Museum. There is an image of this cushion in the book Decorative Embroidery of Country Houses by Gertrud Granander-Nyberg, accompanied by a detailed and interesting text about the motif and how this exotic animal, with a bridal party on its back, ended up on an åkdyna made in Skåne. ATTN: This material package is a bit different than our others. It only includes fabric with a pre-drawn pattern, needle, and color images of the embroidery and the original cushion, no description of the stitches and colors. You can choose to order with or without yarn. We suggest you embroidery freely and choose which stitches you prefer, inspired by the images. The fabric is dark brown, yarn for the fringe is not included but can be purchased separately from our shop.
