Description
This åkdyna, a wedding cushion, is marked AOS KPD IHS ANO 1769. Here, we see Adam and Eve in Paradise and a bride and groom, each pair in their own wreath. The rider in the middle wreath can be bönemannen, the man who rides to the bride’s father to ask for her hand. The rest of the cushion is filled with many animals, imaginative birds, and flowers. The original can be found at Kulturen in Lund. The fabric is dark brown.
Embroidered using split stitch, one-sided satin stitch, long and short stitch, herringbone stitch, and French knots.
The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle.
Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop.
