Description
A resplendent cushion, nearly covered with embroidery in stunning colors. The original comes from the Harjager area and is marked BHD 1839, which stands for Bengta Håkansdotter, born 1814 at Bosgården in Norrvidinge. There is a whole group of cushions with similar patterns from Harjager, Onsjö, and Rönneberga, all located in mid-western Skåne. The latticework and pomegranates are typical for these cushions. The fabric is dark blue. Embroidered using one-sided satin stitch, stem stitch, long and short stitch, French knots, and latticework. The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle. Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Yarn for the fringe is not included, we suggest you use leftover yarn or order separately from us.
