Description
The exotic parrot is a favorite pattern that can be found on many tapestries woven independently of each other. This cushion is marked MND, Märta Nilsdotter, who was one of the daughters of the innkeeper at Everlöv in Torna. It’s not dated but it’s probable that she wove it before she was married in 1807.
The materials package contains: wool yarn for the weft and a paper pattern. Warp yarn is not included but can be ordered from our shop. We recommend linen 20/3 for Scanian tapestry. Wool for the backing and down pillow can also be ordered from our shop.
