Description

Detail from a coverlet from Everlöv. The red lion has its roots in French gobelin tapestries from the 16th century and arrived in Sweden with wandering weaving masters and journeymen. The man has high-heeled shoes, a full-length coat, and a wig, dress common for men of good standing in the 18th century.

The materials package contains: wool yarn for the weft and a paper pattern. Warp yarn is not included but can be ordered from our shop. We recommend linen 20/3 for Scanian tapestry. Wool for the backing and down pillow can also be ordered from our shop.
