Description
The original cushion is in the collections of Trelleborg Museum and is embroidered in cross-stitch. This type of pattern comes from a small area in southwestern Skåne, and there are a few similar examples at Trelleborg Museum. They probably came to Skåne from Germany in the 1740s, as similar patterns have been found there.
The materials package includes: specialized tvistsöm embroidery ground in cotton, wool yarn, paper pattern, stitch description, color image, and needle. Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop.
