Jynne från Bjäre härad

Description

This jynne is from Hjärnarp, located in Bjäre in northwestern Skåne, and it is marked KAD 1807. Embroidery from this area often has large areas filled with latticework. Some of the details are embroidered with cotton yarn and the original has fabric tassels at the corners, made of wool fabric, printed cotton, and wool chintz. The fabric is dark blue.

The materials package contains: pre-drawn wool fabric, wool yarn, a paper pattern, a color image, stitch descriptions, and a needle. Fabric for the backing is not included but broadcloth and wadmal can be ordered from our shop. Fabric for the tassels is not included, we suggest you reuse old textiles or order small remnants of broadcloth and wadmal from us.
